Ramble on baby, settle down easy…

Dirt roads, dustings of pink, greens, sun-faded blues and yellows make the desert a sight for sore eyes. If I’m jumping in my car, driving due east of Los Angeles is my favorite direction to head. The solace of desert life is something I always dreamed of as a midwestern kid, and beginning only just a year ago with my first trip to Joshua Tree, the desert has never let me down. I can guarantee I’ll own a second home there before the end of my thirties. Besides the artistic way of life that comes so easily in Joshua Tree, there is so much inspiration in the desert. The vegetation, wildlife, the night sky, the mom and pop shops that will always be ahead of the trend, and the locals. It’s the outlaw way of life that has become so desired by the creative types like myself. Desert outfitters such as Pachamama Bohemian and The Champagne Gypsy will forever fill my wild west inspired closet.

“Did you say your name was Rambling Rose?”

The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down

How to Be Calm and Mindful in a Fast-Paced World...

Is it the world that’s busy, or is it my mind?”

The world moves fast, but that doesn’t mean we have to. In this bestselling mindfulness guide—it has sold more than three million copies in Korea, where it was a #1 bestseller for forty-one weeks and received multiple Best Book of the Year awards, and it's being published in more than 25 countries—Haemin Sunim (which means “spontaneous wisdom”), a renowned Buddhist meditation teacher born in Korea and educated in the United States, illuminates a path to inner peace and balance amid the overwhelming demands of everyday life.

By offering guideposts to well-being and happiness in eight areas—including relationships, love, and spirituality—Haemin Sunim emphasizes the importance of forging a deeper connection with others and being compassionate and forgiving toward ourselves. The more than twenty full-color illustrations that accompany his teachings serve as calming visual interludes, encouraging us to notice that when you slow down, the world slows down with you.

MELLOW YELLOW by Boho Bunnie

Yellows, burnt umber and brick reds. A palette fit for 1969. This little tie-up shirt from Pachamama Bohemian and dreamy yellow floral crops from Novella Royale are gonna be my spring staples. Cozy enough for lounging and groovy enough for a night out. Yellow actually happens to be my favorite color, it’s just so tricky to wear. The subtle shades of yellow and what my teenage self would call ‘puke green’ have become a favorite combination of mine. This billowy, gauzy yet oh so feminine blouse is my favorite compliment to skin tight flares. Tied up or loose and breezy, it’s so versatile and so easy.
